It's the manufacturer - you have the model on the box, on the sticker etc.
    Which antenna?
    Postcode of the reception location?

Possibly not the decoder but Emitel. Maintenance, failure. This was the case in Katowice for 4 days without these programmes.

Let us know at least which transmitter you are using, we will then give you the channel numbers you need to scan manually.

You are missing MUX-2 and MUX-1(these are MUXes broadcast in the system DVB-T2 ! , DVB-T only MUX-8 is broadcast).Your decoder receives DVB-T2 since you have TVP1,TVP2.etc.
In the link there are given parameters( Table of broadcasting parameters ) of transmitted signals for a given MUX: from where they are broadcast, frequency, antenna polarisation. It is necessary to direct in this direction correctly set -polarisation-("decent") antenna.I suggest manual search. It helps to pre-set frequencies for a given MUX(1 and 2) for your locality.
Answer the previous questions or write if it is already OK.

Hello, I'm writing a hundred times because I keep having the same problem with the channels on my TV. I don't know what the cause is, is there some technical work or is there something wrong with my antenna. The antenna is outdoors, it's been 20 years since it was bought and the antenna board hasn't been replaced since then either. The DVB-T decoder is new, bought 5 years ago, Scaymaster and Manta brand, and searches for channels just as little or not at all. Fades are passing, there is no Polsat, Pulse, TVN, TV6, TV7, TV4, Stopklatka. I have only TVP 1, TVP 2, TVP 3, but there are also sometimes interference . I don't know what to do anymore, whether to buy a new antenna or whether it will fix itself and the channels will return as they were before
    .
Since the installation is 20 years old, the whole installation - all its components from the aerial to the receivers - should be thoroughly overhauled. I suspect that the cable and power supply need replacing first. The 5 year old decoder is already old, but since both are experiencing the same reception problems, it is unlikely to be the cause.

Don't duplicate the description of your problem in other topics, just answer the questions in the one you set up yourself! .

Forgive me for starting with the basics, the obvious stuff - but I want to make sure you've got everything wired right.

    You have a TV on,
    - your DVB-T2 decoder is connected to it via HDMI cable,
    - you have an antenna connected to the decoder (black plug from the power supply or metal plug on the antenna cable),
    - the decoder is switched on to the operating state,
    - on the TV remote control with the "SOURCE" button, or the button with the icon of the TV screen and the arrow going into this screen, or the button with the icon of the electric plug with a piece of cable - you have selected the HDMI 1, 2, 3 ... source, until the image from the decoder is shown,
    - you made sure that the picture on the TV screen is coming from the decoder and not from the TV set, i.e. you switched the programme on the decoder remote control or increased the volume on the decoder and this action is visible on the TV screen,
    - and finally, did you run an automatic search in the decoder and it only found TVP channels?

Source or Input, depends on the brand of TV and not subtitle because the subtitle key means subtitles.

We still don't know where the pick-up point is.
A few months ago I was at a friend's house in Radom who lives on Przytycka Street - the locals know where it is. The poor guy was only receiving MUX3 and MUX8 channels on a typical SAT antenna. It was the only such antenna in the area.
And the reception was also heavily distorted.
He was changing boards, cables, power supplies, combining like the proverbial horse uphill. Setting it up for Warsaw, Ryki or Przysucha didn't help, even though many neighbours have their antenna set up for the south, i.e. also Św Krzyż.

The reason for the reception problems was prosaic - less than 200 metres away is the Radom - Wacyn transmitter. 30 kW for MUX3 k.27 and 8.5 kW for MUX8 k.8. I immediately told him that there was little chance of the antenna working properly.
We fought together on the roof for a couple of hours, combinations with both fixed and adjustable attenuators, different antennas and an old tuned filter improved the situation a little, but sometimes it still snapped. More was not possible. But we ended the day in a pleasant atmosphere on deckchairs in the garden, looking at Wacyn's antenna systems.

We ended up with an Orange fibre optic decoder.

Well, and we probably won't find out anymore. The lady popped in here for 1 post because she thought someone would remotely fix it with a glass ball. I am of the opinion that there should be a "trial" period after registration for such users without the possibility of creating topics.

    The postcode alone is sufficient.

Topic summary

✨ The discussion revolves around a user experiencing issues with their new DVB-T decoder, specifically the inability to receive channels such as Polsat, TVN, and TV4, despite receiving some TVP channels. Participants suggest troubleshooting steps including verifying the decoder model (Skymaster), checking the type of antenna, and ensuring proper setup and connections. They also mention the possibility of reception issues due to local transmitter problems or the need for a manual channel scan. FAQ

TL;DR: 30 kW MUX‑3 power can distort reception; "We still don’t know where the pick‑up point is." If you only see TVP near Wrocław/Ślęża and lack Polsat/TVN, verify location, antenna setup, and run manual scans for missing multiplexes. [Elektroda, irekr, post #21299679]

Why it matters: This FAQ helps viewers around Wrocław/Ślęża quickly restore missing commercial DVB‑T2 channels (Polsat/TVN) by checking the right transmitter, settings, and hardware.

Quick Facts

  • In Poland, MUX‑1 and MUX‑2 use DVB‑T2/HEVC, while MUX‑8 remains DVB‑T (VHF). Confirm frequencies and polarisation in the official table. ["Emitel: Strefa Widza — Odbiór RTV"]
  • For manual scans, use the Ślęża/Wrocław listing; UHF channels 21–48 use 8 MHz bandwidth. ["DIPOL: Dane nadajników DVB‑T2 w Polsce"]
  • Operator maintenance/outages can blank MUX‑1/2 for up to 4 days; check status before replacing gear. [Elektroda, MDD, post #21296702]
  • ~20‑year‑old installs often need new coax, power supply, and connectors; overhaul the entire run from antenna to receiver. [Elektroda, kli, post #21297863]
  • If you already receive TVP1/TVP2 in DVB‑T2, your decoder supports T2; the issue is reception path, not codec. [Elektroda, Jacekser, post #21297816]

Why do I get TVP but not Polsat/TVN from Ślęża?

Because you are receiving MUX‑3/6 but not MUX‑1/2. TVP is on MUX‑3/6; commercial channels are on MUX‑1/2 (DVB‑T2). Verify the decoder scans DVB‑T2, not DVB‑T. Then align the antenna and manually scan the MUX‑1 and MUX‑2 frequencies for your locality. "These are MUXes broadcast in the system DVB‑T2; DVB‑T only MUX‑8 is broadcast." [Elektroda, Jacekser, post #21297816]

What info should I provide to get help fast?

Share your decoder’s exact model, antenna type, and your postcode or town. That lets helpers match you to the correct transmitter and channels. "Make and model of decoder, type of aerial… postcode of reception location." [Elektroda, sosarek, post #21296623]

How do I manually tune MUX‑1 and MUX‑2 on my decoder?

  1. Open Menu > Channel > Manual Search on the decoder.
  2. Enter the MUX‑1, then MUX‑2 channel/frequency from the Ślęża/Wrocław table; set bandwidth 8 MHz.
  3. Rotate the antenna for maximum quality on the meter and save found services. ["DIPOL: Dane nadajników DVB‑T2 w Polsce"]

Which transmitter should I aim at around Wrocław, and what polarisation?

Ślęża is the primary Wrocław site. Use the official table to confirm your exact transmitter, channel numbers, and polarisation. Set polarisation exactly as listed for each MUX. Align the antenna to the shown azimuth for your address. ["Emitel: Strefa Widza — Odbiór RTV"]

Could current outages or maintenance be the reason my Polsat/TVN are gone?

Yes. Operator work can remove commercial multiplexes temporarily. A recent case left viewers without these programmes for four days in Katowice. Check the operator’s status page before changing equipment or cabling. After work ends, rescan channels. [Elektroda, MDD, post #21296702]

My antenna and cable are 20 years old—should I replace them?

Yes. Old coax, connectors, and power injectors degrade and add losses. Start by replacing the cable and the antenna amplifier power supply. Inspect outdoor joints, swap corroded parts, and reseal boots. If two different decoders show the same issue, the RF path is at fault. Do a full overhaul from the antenna to the receivers. [Elektroda, kli, post #21297863]

How should I wire the decoder and TV so I don’t scan the wrong tuner?

Connect the decoder to the TV using HDMI. Select the matching HDMI input on the TV (Source/Input). Plug the antenna into the decoder’s RF IN and power any mast amplifier. Change channels with the decoder remote to confirm the TV shows the decoder. Then run the decoder’s channel search. [Elektroda, nazaspie, post #21298300]

Does the decoder brand (Skymaster/Manta) matter for this problem?

If you already receive TVP in DVB‑T2 and two different boxes behave the same, the decoder is not the cause. Focus on the antenna, amplifier, power supply, cabling, and alignment instead. Replace weak links before blaming the set‑top box. [Elektroda, kli, post #21297863]

Do I need a separate antenna for MUX‑8?

MUX‑8 uses the VHF band and often vertical polarisation. Many UHF‑only antennas cannot receive it well. Check your site’s MUX‑8 parameters, then add a VHF antenna or use a wideband log‑periodic as specified. ["Emitel: Strefa Widza — Odbiór RTV"]

What if I live very close to a transmitter and reception is still unstable?

Front‑end overload can occur near high‑power sites. "There was little chance of the antenna working properly." Attenuators, filters, and different antennas can improve stability, but not always cure it. One case near Radom had 30 kW on MUX‑3 and 8.5 kW on MUX‑8. Consider cable/IPTV as a fallback. [Elektroda, irekr, post #21299679]

How can I check signal level per channel on my decoder?

Use Manual Search and enter the specific MUX channel number for your area. Most decoders show level and quality bars before saving channels. This lets you peak the antenna while watching the meter. Scan each listed MUX frequency in turn. [Elektroda, nazaspie, post #21296880]

When should I call a professional installer?

Call a pro if manual scans fail after you verify wiring, polarisation, and replace old cabling or power supplies. An installer can measure spectrum, add filters or attenuators, and align the antenna accurately. "Call in a professional." [Elektroda, Jacekser, post #21297951]

Where do I find the exact channel numbers for Ślęża?

Open the transmitter table and select the Ślęża entry for Wrocław. Note channels, frequencies, and polarisation for MUX‑1/2/3/6 and MUX‑8. Use those values for manual scanning and alignment. ["DIPOL: Dane nadajników DVB‑T2 w Polsce"]

Why do helpers insist on my postcode or exact location?

Coverage, frequencies, and polarisation change by site. Without your reception point, advice is guesswork. "Where is the reception point?" Share the postcode or town so helpers map you to the right transmitter. [Elektroda, irekr, post #21298121]
